Software Development

READ OUR STORY

Software Developer for over 37 years

Peter Booth formed Booth's Computer Services which commenced trading in 1988. From the early 80's, Peter had been developing software for the Credit Unions of Western Australia. He had single-handedly written software for a full-online Agency System that allowed Credit Union Members to withdraw, deposit, order chequebooks, and statements from Chemists and News Agencies. He also wrote software for their settlement house, and also a telephone banking system.

In 1988, after having had enough of the politics of working for a larger organisation, decided to form Booth's Computer Services with the express purpose of looking after SMB's with some honesty and integrity. BCS offered system management, computer software and hardware support, and software development.

In the early 90'a, BCS became a dealer for Arrow Accounting (later Arrow Financials), winning a number of awards for their skill in supporting this product. BCS has been involved in accounting systems since that time working with a number of products including MYOB, and Quickbooks. BCS was also the state distributor for AMWIN, which is an accounting system designed for the automotive servicing industry.

Although we initially sold and support computer hardware and software with a specialisation in accounting systems, we ended up writing many software solutions for our clients that integrated directly into their accounting systems.

In recent years we are mainly involved in developing software with a particular focus, although not exclusively, on financial systems. Peter has worked in many industries and brings a wealth of experience and understanding when analysing the client requirements and implementation of custom-designed software. With a no-nonsense approach, we can help our clients achieve a cost-effective solution to their software requirements.
